Xbox Game Pass streaming won't be supported on Android TV

San Francisco, Sep 17 (SocialNews.XYZ) Soon after Microsoft announced "Project xCloud" as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, the software giant has confirmed that it won't arrive on Android TV anytime soon.

"Cloud gaming is not currently supported on iOS devices. Also, devices that run modified, alternate, or emulated versions of Android OS (including, but not limited to: Chrome OS, Fire OS, OxygenOS, Android TV, Android Auto, or BlueStacks) will not support cloud gaming," the company said in a tweet.

 

Apple devices running iOS are out of the question, due to the company's restrictions on game streaming services.

Microsoft's xCloud games streaming service is now available in 22 countries worldwide.

As of the initial launch, over 150 games that can be streamed directly over an Android smartphone, tablet, PC, or Xbox console.

To get started with Xbox cloud gaming, you will have to download the Xbox Game Pass app, sign into your account and subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

New subscribers can sign up for $1 for the first month before being charged the normal $14.99 monthly rate.
