Run clubs throw weight behind Sunfeast India Run as One
New Delhi, Sep 15 (SocialNews.XYZ) Run clubs across the country have voiced their support to Sunfeast India Run As One. Run clubs like Hyderabad Runners, Jayanagar Jaguars, RunXtreme-Delhi, Chennai Runners, Mumbai Road Runners, Soles Of Cochin, Coimbatore Runners, Super Sikh Runners and North Kolkata Runners have come forward in support.

"Chennai Runners is happy to associate itself with Procam International for Sunfeast India Run as One. Chennai Runners has always believed that through running one should be able to do larger good for the society. At this critical juncture, in the most uncertain times, we are happy to do our bit to support the migrant workers," said Dr. Lakshmi Sundar, President, Chennai Runners.

"North Kolkata Runners are proud to be associated with Procam International for Sunfeast India Run As One. NKR is noted for its philanthropy and as the country is in middle of a battle with COVID-19, we are delighted to support the migrant labourers/workers, because livelihood matters," said Rahul Gupta, Admin, North Kolkata Runners.

 

Ssagarika Melkote of the Hyderabad runners termed the initiative as a "revolution". "With every kilometre one covers, he or she will be helping in restoring normalcy in the lives of those who've been hit hard by the pandemic, which is hugely gratifying. Even non-runners can get involved and do their bit - that is the best part about this initiative," said Melkote.

Participants can continue to contribute in support of livelihoods until September 30. At Rs 100, participants will receive a specially designed e-certificate, autographed by actor Tiger Shroff and marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge and a participation e-bib. Furthermore, in addition to the e-certificate and e-bib; participants registering at Rs 600 and Rs 2500 will get an opportunity to own exclusive event memorabilia; a personalized framed certificate and a uniquely designed Commemorative Lapel pin respectively.

Since its launch, the initiative has already raised over Rs 1.20 crores, according to a media release. The registrations for the initiative will be open until September 30.
