Congress gets into ‘poll mode’ in Bihar

Patna, Aug 18 (SocialNews.XYZ) Though the date has not been announced by the Election Commission for the assembly elections to be held later this year in Bihar, the leaders of various political parties in the state are trying to strengthen their party organization.

On Tuesday, former MLA and Congress Rohtas district in-charge Narendra Kumar, former Legislative Council member Dr Ajay, former Chairman of the Bihar Youth Congress Lalan Kumar Yadav, Rohtas district supervisor Santosh Pandey, former MLA Murari Gautam, Bhaskar Pathak, Amar Yadav and District President Santosh Kumar Mishra held a meeting in Rohtas district and discussed in detail the strategy for the upcoming assembly elections.

The Congress is campaigning to corner the Nitish government with the slogans of '15 years of misrule in Bihar 'and 'Speak up Bihar, change the government '.

Congress MLA Bunty Chaudhary also held a meeting in Lakhisarai, while Youth Congress State President Gunjan Patel held meetings with party workers in Beldaur, Chautham, Parbata, Gagri and Aloli in Khagaria in the last three days.

Former Legislative Councillor Lalbabu Rai had a meeting with party workers in Siwan while Ramdev Rai held a meeting in Bhagalpur. Both asked the workers to remain united for changing the Bihar government.

At present, along with the increasing corona cases, nearly 16 districts in Bihar are inundated by the flood waters. Due to the twin problems of corona and floods, there is a demand from all opposition parties, including the Congress, to postpone the elections.
