Contradicting the rumor that is engulfing social media that Ex-President Pranab Mukherjee has passed, his son Abhijit Mukherjee tweeted that his father is still alive and asked people not to believe in fake news.
He tweeted "My Father Shri Pranab Mukherjee is still alive & haemodynamically stable! Speculations & fake news being circulated by reputed Journalists on social media clearly reflects that Media in India has become a factory of Fake News ."
Pranab Mukherjee had tested positive for COVID-19 and undergone surgery for a brain clot at Army Research & Referral (R&R) Hospital on August 10. We wish him a speedy recovery.
