Megastar Chiranjeevi has reportedly put the Telugu remake of Lucifer on hold as he wishes to take Beralam remake on to the floors.
Chiranjeevi has asked Meher Ramesh to develop the story and will sign the project if the latter comes up with a convincing script.
Rumors are rife that Sujeeth failed to impress Chiranjeevi after he was asked to modify the script of Lucifer to suit native audience. So, Chiru decided to go ahead with Vedhalam remake.
Vedhalam is a Tamil film which had Ajith in the lead role. It had an okayish run at the box office.
The grapevine is that the remake of Vedhalam will be officially announced on August 22nd, which happens to be Chiranjeevi's birthday.
