Few days back, Netflix released a list of 17 originals that would soon stream on their platform. Bobby Deol starrer 'Class of '83' was a part of this list and the film has finally got a release date. The film will make its premiere on Netflix on 21 August.
Film Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news about the same and wrote, "RELEASE DATE FINALIZED...#Classof83- produced by #SRK's Red Chillies- premieres 21 Aug 2020 on #Netflix..#BobbyDeol makes his digital debut with this film..Directed by Atul Sabharwal...Here's the first look poster."
Class of '83 is based on the book 'The Class of 83' by Hussain Zaidi. The film tells the story of a hero policeman shunted to a punishment posting as the Dean of the police academy. He decides to punish the corrupt bureaucracy and its criminal allies in return by training five lethal assassin. Bobby Deol plays the character of Dean Vijay Singh in the film.
The film is directed by Atul Sabharwal and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. Film will release on Netflix on 21 August. This film is third collaboration of Red Chillies Entertainment with Netflix after 'Bard Of Blood' and 'Betaal'.
Bobby Deol who will make his digital debut with this film will also be soon seen in a web series titled as 'Aashram' which is directed by Prakash Jha. The show will stream on MX Player from 28 August. The first look from the show has been shared with the people and it has generated curiosity amongst the fans. The team launched a disclaimer yesterday to avoid any controversy before the trailer launch of the show.
