A few low-budget Telugu films like 'Krishna and his Leela', 'Bhanumathi and Ramakrishna', 'Penguin', and '48 hours' have released directly on OTT platforms since the lockdown.
Of all these releases, 'Krishna and his Leela' got a comparatively good response.
Now, Satya Dev's 'Uma Maheshwara Rao Ugra Roopasya' is releasing on Netflix tomorrow, July 30th.
Notably, none of the Telugu films that have released directly on OTT platforms have gained a unanimously positive response from the audience.
Satya Dev's 'UMUR' is releasing amidst a low buzz owing to the lack of promotions but it is carrying positive reports. It remains to be seen if the rural drama can hit the bullseye and turn out to be the biggest success of all the direct OTT releases.
The film has Venkatesh Maha, who previously made C/O Kancharapalem at the helm and that is building more anticipation.
