Fake agriculture training centre busted in Gurugram

Gurugram, July 18 (SocialNews.XYZ) Gurugram police arrested a person for allegedly running a fake agriculture training centre in city's upscale Sector 31 on Saturday.

The accused Chandra Bhuson Pandey (39) provided training to the job seekers with the assurance of 100 per cent employment and lucrative salary in the Centre and State run agriculture departments.

The accused had also put a board of Central Agriculture Development institute (Kendriya Krishi Vikas Sansthan) at the training centre to give an impression about the institute that it is an unit which comes under Union Ministry of Agriculture.

Gurugram police commissioner K. K. Rao said, "We received a complaint from P.N. Shukla, deputy secretary of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare (administrative vigilance unit) about fake institute running in house number 140 in Sector 31. Subsequently, a dedicated team of Sector 40 police station and crime branch was constituted to raid the spot."

"The alleged person failed to present documentary proofs to establish that the institute in the name of "Kendriya Krishi Vikas Sansthan" running from the house is an unit of Ministry of Agriculture. He was immediately arrested and booked under IPC sections of 420, 467, 468, 471 in Sector 40 police station," Rao said.

During brief interrogation, Pandey revealed that he used to take Rs 27,000 per month from every candidate and offered lucrative job in the agriculture department.

He further revealed that he was earlier operating same institute in Lucknow, his native city, till March before he moved in Gurugram. The accused managed to influence six unemployed youths who were taking training under him, Rao said.
