New Delhi, June 8 (SocialNews.XYZ) A tweet and a phone call from good samaritan Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur saved a patient's life in Delhi. His activeness on social media late Sunday proved to be a boon for the elderly patient. The hospital, which refused to admit the patient, started treating him after the matter reached the Union Minister. The patient's condition is now out of danger. The family has thanked Anurag Thakur, the young minister of the Modi government, for his help in the crisis.

In fact, 65-year-old Lalit Gupta from Delhi is a diabetic patient. He started having high fever and breathing problems late on Sunday night. Family members took him to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital in Sector 22, Rohini. As the patient's condition was critical, the hospital refused to admit him. The matter somehow came to the knowledge of IPS officer Sandeep Mittal who complained about this attitude of the hospital, by tweeting at around 12.30 a.m.

Thakur saw the tweet at around 2 a.m. and immediately asked for the mobile number of the patient or a family member while retweeting Mittal's tweet. The IPS officer provided the necessary information. Then Thakur, talked to a family member of the patient and assured full help. He directed the hospital administration to admit the patient immediately.

It was then Lalit Gupta could be admitted to Maharaja Agresan Hospital. The hospital initially promised to give bed on Monday noon, but then after Anurag Thakur spoke to them, they agreed to provide hospital bed to the patient who is now under treatment in the hospital.

Later, IPS officer Sandeep Mittal tweeted that the help could reach to the patient only after the case came to the knowledge of a Union Minister. Mittal also said that he is not known to the patient's family, but he came to know about the tweet from other source.

Lalit Gupta is now out of danger and his family has profusely thanked Anurag Thakur who proved to be a life saver.
