Nagpur: A bull walks past a deserted Nagpur street on a ‘Zero Shadow Day’ during the fourth phase of the nationwide lockdown imposed to mitigate the spread of coronavirus, on May 26, 2020. On a ‘Zero Shadow Day’ the sun is exactly overhead and casts almost no shadow of objects on the ground. This phenomenon occurs two times a year, between places 23.5 degree latitude on both hemispheres. On this day, in a place, a vertical pole casts no shadow. Zero Shadow Day clearly is different for different places on earth. (Photo: IANS)
