Director, producer Goldie Behl who made his digital debut with ZEE5''s ‘RejctX’ last year revealed the reason behind in doing ‘Rejctx’. The director had a sneak peek into the lives of his son and his nephew, who are teenagers. It was their way of life that realized him that the standards of youth have changed from mid-2000 to mid-2019 to 2020. Apart from this he also shared the challenges he had to face while making ‘Rejctx 2’.
Squeezing out the reason behind in making the series, Goldie said, “I had done a series many years ago called ‘Remix’. When I was in my late 20’s. The series was immensely successful. It was released around mid of the year 2000. After 15 years I felt that there has been no show on teenagers. So, I realized that we should make a show or a series that sets trends and certain standards in teenage thrillers and young adults’ fiction. Though I am much older now, I have a son who is 14 and an 18-year-old nephew, so I have sneak peek in their life. From their life’s I realized that the youth have changed so much from mid-2000 to mid-2019 to 2020”
“So, it was a great time to re-visualize young trendy shows and talk about the new value system and morality. There is also one big difference between the Indian Kid is that they are now a global kid. That’s why we send them to multinational schools and send them abroad. Today our kids are equal to any international kids. This thought actually inspired me a lot. Also, about the web series, ‘Rejctx’ when we started there was not much music in the series. It was we who started the trend of putting music in the series. On a personal level, I do like music and musical shows. I am glad that we started the trend of lip sing songs in the web series” added director.
‘Rejctx’ is a crime web series on Zee5. The streaming platform is back with Rejctx season 2. The musical web series has grabbed the attention of viewers while keeping them quite curious with its twists and thrill. The release of RejectX Season 2 was announced before the commencement of the first season.
The second season of the show started streaming on May 14. It stars Sumeet Vyas, Kubbra Sait, Anisha Victor, Ahmed Masi Wali and Ridhi Khakhar.
