New Delhi, May 22 (SocialNews.XYZ) Five more people, three of them in their twenties, reported COVID-19 positive on Friday taking the total active cases to 88 in UP's Gautam Buddha Nagar. However, five patients have also been discharged which includes an 80-year-old woman.
Out of the 5 positive cases one is a 21-year-old woman and a 41 year-old man from Sector 53 in Noida while one is a 23-year-old man residing in Gaur City 2A of Greater Noida. Meanwhile, two cases have been reported from Sector 4 of Greater Noida.
Out of those discharged are a 15-year-old girl and an 80-year-old woman. The rest are in their twenties.
However, the rate of fresh positive cases seems to have seen a dip, at least in the Noida area. As of now there are only 88 remaining active cases in the entire district while 214 have been cured so far. Total positive cases reported so far are 307. Meanwhile, 5 died during their course of treatment, as of now.
There are a total of 14 patients who have been cross notified to Delhi, Ghaziabad, Andhra Pradesh, Agra and Hapur.
While Greater Noida seems to be emerging as an area of concern for authorities with opening up of industry, Noida has seen many containment zones unsealed in the past weeks after no fresh cases were reported.
