Mumbai, May 16 (SocialNews.XYZ) Composer Mannan Shaah is thrilled about his song "Akhiyaan milavanga", from the Vidyut Jammwal and Adah Sharma-starrer "Commando 3", getting about 1,000 cover versions.
"I am more than elated with the response it has received. 'Akhiyaan milavanga' is a special song for me. I knew the song would connect with the masses but never knew it would go this big to the extent that we have about a thousand covers of the song from various fans. The reaction we've got from the fans is phenomenal. I'm genuinely touched by this love," said Mannan about his 2019 composition sung by Arijit Singh and Sruthy Sasidharan.
The cover versions have been made by fans from India as well as abroad.
"I recently got to hear such amazing covers of a Russian fan and a fan from Oman. My gratitude to crores of 'Akhiyaan milavanga' listeners all over India and worldwide for showering all the love on the song," said the composer.
Vidyut said Mannan's song captures romance so well that it comes as "no surprise that it caught the imagination of so many and received so much love".
