After dropping a stunning trailer and back to back posters, actor and producer Anushka Sharma drops an introductory teaser from forthcoming series Paatal Lok. The teaser chronicles Sanjeev Mehra played by veteran Neeraj Kabi.
Actress Anushka Sharma took to her social media profile and dropped the teaser. Neeraj Kabi as Sanjeev Mishra, is a television anchor and journalist, who is fast losing grip of his glorious career. Forced into corner, Neeraj’s character take some extreme steps.
The series mark Anushka Sharma’s debut into the digital world under her home banner Clean Slate Films. The series stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Neeraj Kabi, Abhishek Banerjee, Gul Panag, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Swastika Mukherjee, Jagjeet Sandhu, Vipin Sharma and Ishwak Singh, among others, will be seen playing pivotal roles in the series.
The series is created by Sudip Sharma, is inspired by the three realms described in Indian mythology namely Swarg Lok, which means heaven, Dharti Lok which means Earth and Paatal Lok which represents the netherworld.
Paatal Lok aims to showcase a society intertwined in a heinous web of lies, crime and violence while also being divided by class. It’s almost as if humanity is dead and hell has broken loose, thanks to the dark and sinister bylanes of human immorality.
The nine episodes series will release on Amazon Prime Video on 15 May 2020.
