A while back, rumors were rife that Mahesh Babu is all set to play a key role in megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Acharya'. However, the movie unit later confirmed that Ram Charan was always the favourite to play this role and there is no change in it.
Speaking about the same, Koratala Siva made an interesting revelation.
"I felt Ram Charan should play a key role in the film and Chiranjeevi garu agreed with me. However, he was busy with RRR and there were rumors that Acharya might get postponed to 2021 and this worried me to an extent. This is when I casually met Mahesh Babu and discussed about the film. He was very considerate and formally said he will be by my side and suggested he would do the role of needed. This gave me a whole lot of confidence and shared this incident with a few people. This is how the rumors started," Koratala Siva said.
Going by the latest developments, it looks like Acharya will be hitting the theaters only next year. Chiranjeevi is playing lead role and Kajal is pairing up with him. Ram Charan is playing a key role and Mani Sharma is composing the tunes.
