​Vicky Kaushal Donates 1 Crore To PM-CARES

After Akshya Kumar and Bhushan Kumar setting the ball rolling, now entire Bollywood brigade has donated generously for PM-CARES, actor Vicky Kaushal is the new entry on the list. The actor has pledged a whopping 1 Crore to the relief fund.

 

Many Bollywood celebrities have come forward to support Modi’s PM CAREs fund. Actor Akshay Kumar has announced that he will donate Rs 25 crore to the fund and T-series head honcho Bhushan Kumar has pledged 11 crore and now Vicky Kaushal has donated 1 Crore.

The actor Vicky took to his social media and confirmed his donation. He shared a note, which he captioned, “I pledge to do my bit. We're in this together and we'll win this together. Till then, stay safe guys. #IndiaFightsCorona”

The note read, “While I’m blessed enough to be seated with my loved ones in the comforts of my home, there are many who are not as fortunate. In this time of crisis, I humbly pledge to contribute an amount of Rs. 1 Crore to PM-CARES and Maharasthra Chief Minister’s Relief fund. We are in this together and we’ll win this together. Let us all do our bit for a healthier and stronger future. Jai Hind. #IndiaFightsCorona. Vicky Kaushal”

Meanwhile on the work front, Kaushal will next portray the freedom fighter Udham Singh, who assassinated Michael O'Dwyer, in a biopic directed by Shoojit Sircar, after which he will star as the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in Takht, a historical drama directed by Johar, which features an ensemble cast, including Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Bhumi Pednekar.

He has also committed to reunite with Dhar and Gulzar in an action film about the mythological character Ashwatthama and a biopic of the army officer Sam Manekshaw, respectively.
