After making super hit Shootout at Lokhandwala and Shootout At Wadala, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta just confirmed the third instalment in shootout series, and the film is in scripting stage.
Known for making gangsters and crime genre movies, Sanjay Gupta rocked the silver screen with Shootout at Lokhandwala and Shootout At Wadala, with the sheer ensemble and the box-office collection.
Now the filmmaker confirms that he is scripting the third instalment and will be producing it Rajat Arora.
Sanjay Gupta just tweeted, “Now taking my first break from the first writing session of SHOOTOUT 3. Love this feeling when you begin the scripting journey. And what makes this one special is @rajatsaroraa collaborating with him for the first time and already enjoying his wicked writing”
The cast, crew and official announcement for the third instalment is yet to be made, but the filmmaker has started writing it, so one could assume, it will be soon.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Gupta is shooting his next outing, Mumbai Saga, which is bankrolled by T-Series. It is a gangster drama and stars an ensemble cast of John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Jackie Shroff, Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Pankaj Tripathi, Rohit Roy, Amole Gupte, Samir Soni, Gulshan Grover and Sharman Joshi.
Set in the 1980s and 1990s, the story shows changing faces of Mumbai people by closing mills to make malls and high rise buildings. The film is set to release on 19 June 2020.
