Filmmaker Rohit Shetty who next outing Sooryavashi talks about Terrorist attacks and Hindu-Muslim harmony, says without knowing the ground realities talking about Delhi Riots is not something people should indulge in, it is serious matter which is being handled by Government and as citizens, we should refrain from creating more chaos.
Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Katrina Kaif along with filmmaker Rohit Shetty were interacting with media at the trailer launch of forthcoming action thriller Sooryavanshi in Mumbai.
When asked about his thoughts on Hindu-Muslim riots taking place in Delhi, as his movie highlight the issue, Rohit Shetty said, “What is happening in Delhi or Country, that is a very serious issue, and there is whole bunch of people who are talking about it. And I think at this moment, the best thing would be to keep calm. Our officials and government and people, they are working on it in Delhi”
“We’re here in Mumbai, at a trailer launch, having a good time, and to talk about those people suffering in Delhi, would be the easiest thing to do. Right now the best thing is to keep quiet and calm. Everyone is talking and that is only increasing the chaos. Keep calm, people are working out the situation, we have no idea about the ground realities. None of us knows what it feels like to be in riots or situation like that, it’s horrible and devastating. We shouldn’t indulge in such talks right now”
“I can give you an inspirational speech here, and people would go on social media and praise me about it as well, but it’s won’t be right. We should keep calm and quite regarding such matters, for the time being. People are suffering, let it sort out and then we all can talk about it” added Rohit Shetty.
Sooryavanshi is produced by Rohit Shetty, Karan Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta, it is the fourth installment of Shetty's Police Universe and features Akshay Kumar as the titular character opposite Katrina Kaif.
The film releases on 24th March 2020.
