Filmmaker Hansal Mehta has wrapped the shooting of forthcoming series Scam 1992, starring newcomers Pratik Gandhi and Shreya Dhanwanthary.
The series, will tell the story of one of the biggest financial scams in the Indian stock market. Applause Entertainment, the content studio from the Aditya Birla group, is creating the financial thriller, based on Debashis Basu and Sucheta Dalal's book "The Scam". It is produced by Studio Next for Applause Entertainment.
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta took to his social media profile and wrote a series of tweets, expressing his gratitude to the entire team. He wrote, “We wrapped a mammoth 85 days shoot spanning 6 months, 550 pages, 170+ characters and 200+ locations. It was tough but eventually satisfying. A great team saw this (and is still seeing it) through all the limitations and adversities. #Scam1992 is THEIR show. The series also features Satish Kaushik, Anant Mahadevan, Rajat Kapoor, Nikhil Dwivedi, K K Raina, and Lalit Parimoo amongst others. The book has been adapted by screenplay and dialogue writers Sumit Purohit, Saurav Dey, Vaibhav Vishal and Karan Vyas.
