New Delhi, Feb 26 (SocialNews.XYZ) National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval again came to the rescue of the government by restoring normalcy in the violence-hit northeast Delhi.

It was the second time when Doval was seen in action in the public. Earlier, he was seen in J&K after the abrogation of Article 370.

While interacting with people in the violence-hit areas, Doval was heard saying, "Whatever has happened can't be changed. But peace will be restored. I am here on the orders of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister. By god's grace, peace will prevail. The police is on alert and we are committed to everybody's safety."

Doval visited the northeast DCP office twice, between 11.30 p.m. of Tuesday and 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday to take stock of the situation.

According to sources, the government was tense also due to presence of US President Donald Trump here on his maiden visit. The Prime Minister, the Home Minister and all top officials were worried as the country's image came under cloud.

When Trump was at the official dinner, hosted by President Ram Nath Kovind, the Home Minister was holding meetings over the northeast Delhi violence.

Asked by Prime Minister Modi, Doval visited the northeast DCP office and toured the streets of violence-hit areas. After taking stock of the situation, Doval ordered imposition of curfew in Seelampur, Jafrabad, Maujpur and Yamuna Vihar.

He ordered deployment of the security forces at every 200 metres in these areas to restore peace.

According to sources, he got the newsmedia talk about shoot-at-sight orders. As soon as the talk started and went viral on social media platforms, violence begun to subside.

Doval met people from all communities as he did during his J&K visit after abrogation of Article 370. He used the medium of religious places to appeal for peace and harmony, and the people responded.

After three days of violence, that claimed 22 lives and left over 200 injured, including the police personnel, the northeast Delhi started limping back to normalcy.
