Cheema Prema Madhyalo Bhama Review: An interesting take on rebirth (Rating: ***1/2)

Review by Harshavardhan

Starring Amith and Indu in the lead roles, Cheema Prema Madhyalo Bhama hit the silver screens today. The movie is carrying positive buzz, thanks to an intriguing round of promotions.

Touted to be a romantic drama, the film has raked up good expectations. Let us see what the film has to offer to the audience.

Story: When one of the smartest living things of the universe, an ant develops a fascination for human life and determines to take birth as a human: Will it succeed? What can happen? How does it feel? Added on top, if that leads to love and romance, how does it relish? Answers to all these questions form the crux of an intense love journey of a couple in the twenties that starts in the college backdrop.

Artists performance:

The lead pair, Amith, and Indu look good on the screen. They have sparkling chemistry and that is one of the driving forces of the film. Amith won the Mr. North India - 2016 title and Indu won Miss. Telangana - 2018 title and this speaks a lot about the duo.

The rest of the cast includes Suman, Haritha, Purandhar, Venkat Nimmagadda, Ramya Chowdary, Bomma Sreedhar, Ravi Kishore, Venkatesh, Suresh Perugu, etc. They perform to the best of their capabilities.

Valayam gets a superb response!

Srikanth "Sri" Appalaraju is making his directorial debut with the film and he does a great job. He picked a novel plot and comes up with a gripping screenplay. His narrative is fresh and appealing.

Ravi Varma composed the tunes and he delivered a classy output. His background score is equally good and packs a punch. Renowned singers, SP Bala Subrahmanyam and Geetha Madhuri crooned for the film and their work is impeccable.

The story starts off with an ant reincarnating to a human and that catches the attention right from the first frame. The proceedings keep the audience glued to the screens.

Arif Lalani, the cinematographer does a fine job. His visuals are neat and elevate the mood of the proceedings. He managed to extract a good output in the given budget.

The producer, S. N. Lakshminarayana did not compromise when it came to production values. The film has impressive making values, thanks to production designing.

Rating: 3.5/5
