New Delhi, Feb 20 (SocialNews.XYZ) On the occasion of UN World Day of Social Justice, Netizens across the globe joined hands to bat for equal rights and opportunities, and inclusive justice.

World Day of Social Justice is observed every year on February 20 since 2009, with an objective to put focus on social injustice across the world, and to press for improvements and solutions.

The theme for World Day of Social Justice 2020 is "Closing the Inequalities Gap to Achieve Social Justice".

Taking to his Twitter handle, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres wrote: "A vicious circle of poverty and inequality continues to define the lives of millions. Breaking the cycle requires a fair globalization, with social justice for all as our purpose."

The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights tweeted: "It's World Day of Social Justice! By closing the inequalities gap we can make big strides to advance #socialjustice. Our survey of people from different ethnic and minority backgrounds reveals how much work is still to be done."

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya wrote: "New India is built on the principles of social justice & equality for all! Modi Government is working tirelessly to register a uniform growth and increasing ease of living with the mantra 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas' and 'Integral Humanism'."
