New Delhi, Feb 18 (SocialNews.XYZ) Day 2 of the Asian Wrestling Championships in New Delhi will witness Indias national champion in the Greco-Roman 60 kg category Gyanender take on reigning world champion Kenichiro Fumita of Japan in the quarter final.
Meanwhile, Anshu, the youngest member of the Indian Greco-Roman squad is scheduled to play his last-eight bout against unheralded Fu Hao Lin of Chinese Taipei. In the semis, he will face either Mohammad Alhasan of Syria or Makhmud Bakhshilloev of Uzbekistan. Bakhshilloev won the Rome Ranking series gold and also won the world championships silver medal in 2019.
In the 72 kg Non-Olympic category, Aditya Kundu is making a comeback to the Indian team after winning the Commonwealth Championship gold in 2017. He will be up against Alijon Khuseynov of Uzbekistan who will be making his senior debut at the Asian Championships. The 97 kg national champion Hardeep faces Iranian Abdollah Saravi.
