This project has been allocated Rs 607 crore in the 2020-21 union budget.

The Chairman said that the national transporter has identified another long pending project in Manipur connecting Jiribam to Imphal (110.62 km) which was sanctioned in 2003-2004, whose deadline of completion is now 2022.
