Ramallah/Gaza, Feb 4 (SocialNews.XYZ) Palestine slammed the meeting between Israeli prime minister and Sudanese leader in Uganda, an official of Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) said in a press statement.
"The meeting between Netanyahu and Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, head of Sudan's sovereign council, in Uganda is a stab in the Palestinian people's back," said the Secretary General of PLO Saeb Erekat on Monday, Xinhua news agency reported.
The meeting "is a clear violation of the Arab Peace Initiative, and the U.S. President Donald Trump and Netanyahu are trying to eliminate the Palestinian cause and annex Jerusalem," Erekat added.
Meanwhile, several Palestinian factions in Gaza also condemned the meeting.
Hazem Qassem, Islamic Hamas movement's spokesman said in a press statement that "the meeting is encouraging the (Israeli) occupation to carry on with its crimes and aggression against the Palestinian people."
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Palestinian left-wing factions also condemned the meeting in two separate statements.
Besides, Erekat condemned Uganda's intentions to move its embassy to Jerusalem.
He called on the states of the African Union to respect the decisions of its summits regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the basis of international resolutions.
