No casting directors charge money from young actors, Says Vibhu and Vikas.

Casting directors Vibhu Gupta and Vikas Pal, who started their career in casting with ‘Casting Bay’ in 2016 have been getting a lot of appreciation for their recently released web series ‘Jamtara- Sabka Number Ayega’ which revolves around the illegal business of mobile fraud. The duo expressing their on the misconception of young actors being charged money by casting directors, said that there are no such rules of charging money from the young actors. They charge money from the production house or the people with new projects.

Conversing further, the duo said, “There are two things, the coordinator and the casting directors. Generally, the trend is, the casting directors charge money from production house and from the people with new projects. It’s the coordinator who charge money from the new actors. As there are no such rules written that the young actors should be charged or no, youngsters are being cheated on this basis.

My advice to all the youngsters will be, that they should first enquire properly and then pay. Because there is creativity in every person and everybody wants to work.  Lastly, I would like to say that everything is subjective. It all depends upon you how you take it. It’s not like only film industry is involved in such misconception, the entire world is complicated, they added.”

About the series, ‘Jamtara - Sabka Number Aayega’ is helmed by Soumendra Padhi and produced by Netflix. It features Amit Sial, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Aksha Pardasany, Sparsh Shrivastav, Monika Panwar, Anshuman Pushkar and Aasif Khan in the pivotal roles.
