The shooting of RRR was halted for over a month after Ram Charan and Jr NTR injured themselves on the sets. This unexpected delay showed a great effect on the schedule and the release of the film might get postponed indefenitely now.
It is said that the film might release in October, but there is no clarity regarding this.
Rajamouli had planned numerous CGI sequences and VFX shots in the film. This would take more time than expected and for the perfectionist he is, Rajamouli will not settle for anything but the very best.
Apparently, Rajamouli is not in any hurry whatsoever and he wants things to progress at their own pace.
If that is the case, RRR might hit the theaters only during 2020 Sankranthi season or mid summer 2020.
