Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali says he wants to explore love more through his movies and life on the sidelines of Love Aaj Kal 2 trailer launch here in Mumbai.
Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan along with Imtiaz Ali graced the trailer launch of Love Aaj Kal sequel in Mumbai.
Talking about his journey as a filmmaker and his connection with Love, Imtiaz Ali said, “Honestly, I don’t know what the relevance of love is. But I feel that everything in the universe somehow moves because of it. I feel that if a man and a woman are in love, certainly, it is through their love the universe is moving around. I want explore these things more.”
“Now, I am at a certain age, but when I was young, I went through the same phase, which today’s young generation is going through. I feel that everybody goes through the same cycle. They also have the same questions in their minds as we had at our time” added Imtiaz.
Further adding, Imtiaz Ali said that his movies are his way of parting with some knowledge about love with younger generation. He said, “It’s not easy to say the knowledge of love you had, when you were young. Even we can’t force anyone to follow it and correct his or her life. But in some sort of way, this is my way to say younger generation about love. I don’t want to tell them what to do, but I can show them what I am. This is all what I understand about love.”
The first Love Aaj Kal starred Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles and the story shuffled between two time zones. The newer version is similar with Kartik and Sara in the lead roles.
The film also stars Randeep Hooda and Arushi Sharma in pivotal roles. The film opens on this Valentine’s Day.
