Veteran Choreographer Saroj Khan who is also known as "The Mother of Dance/Choreography in India". has lashed out at Ganesh Acharya saying he has used his position to manipulate dancers. He is not at all a trust worthy person. He has cheated Cine Dance Association (CDA) and has spoil the image of old association.
Saroj speaking openly on the issue said, “I am feeling very dejected, because Ganesh is trying to divide the association. He should not forget, that he and his father were part of this association. Starting a new organization while bilocating its roots is deceiving. Ganesh is maligning the CDA in the entire industry and cheating his dancers by promising more money. Instead of paying them Rs. 4500, he just pays 1200 or 3000 per dancers.
It’s good, that we have joined the federation back. It’s a high time we really need to take some step against him. I request all the famous choreographers Remo Dsouza, Vaibhavi Merchant, Bosco Ceaser, Ahmad and Farah Khan to come and look into the matter. We need thrie help. I’ll even speak to Aishwarya and Madhuri regarding this. I am not at all scared of him, she added.”
About CDA, it is Bollywood’s oldest association for dancers the Cine Dancers Association (CDA). It was established in 1955. Veteran choreographer Saroj Khan has been appointed as the brand ambassador of CDA whereas Ganesh Acharya serves as the general secretary of IFTCA (Indian Film and Television Choreographer Association). The news was that Acharya is taking advantage of his post and instigating other choreographers to use AIFTEDA members not CDA.
