Bollywood actress Vidya Balan who is all geared up with her upcoming movie ‘Shakuntala Devi’ says that perfection is an illusion, and I don’t compare my today’s work with tomorrow, on the sidelines of a social event in Mumbai.
Vidya Balan was interacting with the media as a Guest Lectures at Techfest 2019-2020 at IIT Bombay on Friday.
When asked about what’s her point of view on perfection, on this Vidya said, “With some amount of maturity you realize that what is perfect for you may not be perfect for someone else. Hence what is perfect for you today may not be perfect for you tomorrow. In the end you realize there is no point in chasing perfection, it’s an unattainable goal. Perfection is an illusion, I don’t chase perfection”
“Rather than chasing perfection I enjoy whatever I do. If there are good days, there are bad days too, sometimes you feel like working, but sometime you don’t. It may be because you had a fight at home or may be feeling low. After all we are humans. I believe in giving my best today, I don’t compare my today’s work with tomorrow. I think to compare ourselves with anyone else is pointless.” Added Vidya.
Vidya Balan’s next ‘Shakuntala Devi’ is directed and written by Anu Menon, produced by Sony Pictures Networks India and Vikram Malhotra under his banner Abundantia Entertainment.
The film stars Vidya Balan as Shakuntala Devi, a mental calculator who was known as the human computer. The film also features Sanya Malhotra in the leading role. It is scheduled to release on 8 May 2020.
