Drama queen Rakhi Sawant was seen badly weeping and reciting on her Instagram the word 'Hallelujah’. The word was mocked by the trio Raveena Tandon, Farah Khan and Bharati Singh during the show. In the video, she asks the viewers to understand that the word, ‘hallelujah’ and explains that it is all related to the almighty and poking fun at it is incorrect.
Farah is currently seen hosting a show titled Backbenchers. In the show the above-mentioned trio during a fun segment happened to mock a word which is connected to the almighty as per Christian community. It is said that the Christians have been hurt, when the stars trivialized the word "Hallelujah", while trying to pronounce it. As they are booked for hurting the religious sentiments in Ferozepur district located in Punjab.
The trio, Raveena, Farah and Bharti ended up apologizing for their actions too.
Raveena Tondon took to the Twitter and wrote, "Please do watch this link. I haven't said a word that can be interpreted as an insult to any religion. The three of us (Farah Khan, Bharti Singh and I) never intended to offend anyone, but in case we did, my most sincere apologies to those who were hurt. https://youtu.be/HvYNVGjUtc.”
Farah Khan also apologized on her Twitter account saying, "I’m extremely saddened that some sentiments have been inadvertently hurt by a recent episode of my show. I respect all religions, n it would never be my intention 2disrespect any. On behalf of the entire team, Raveena Tandon, Bharti Singh and Myself.. we do sincerely apologize."
Even Bharti took to her Twitter account saying, "From the bottom of my heart I would like to say Sorry to my Christian brothers and sisters for hurting their sentiments. Thank you YOUR EMINENCE CARDINAL OSWALD for personally hearing my apology in the voice note(as I’m not in the country)& forgiving.
Yours Truly, Bharti Singh."
"Hallelujah" is a Hebrew word meaning "Praise ye, Yah", referring to the Lord.
