After publicly apologizing for hurting religious sentiments on their show, Backbenchers, choreographer Farah Khan and actress Raveena Tandon meets Cardinal Oswald Gracious to seek blessing and forgiveness.
Recently, Raveena Tandon, Farah Khan and comedian Bharti Singh were booked by Amritsar police, for hurting religious sentiments on their show Backbenchers.
Now, Farah Khan and Raveena Tandon meet Cardinal to seek his forgiveness for the unfortunate incident.
Farah Khan took to her social media and shared the pictures of the meeting. She wrote, “To Err is human...to Forgive Divine...Thank you YOUR EMINENCE CARDINAL OSWALD GRACIOUS for meeting us n accepting our heartfelt apologies and putting this unfortunate matter to rest. Frm all of us thank you also @allwynsaldanha for making this happen”
She further added, “Blessed to get blessings from YOUR EMININCE CARDINAL OSWALD GRACIOUS.. whatever the circumstances , was fortunate to meet such a kind and pure soul.”
Earlier Farah Khan, wrote an apology on her social media as well. She shared, “I’m extremely saddened that some sentiments have been inadvertently hurt by a recent episode of my show. I respect all religions, n it would never be my intention 2disrespect any. On behalf of the entire team, Raveena Tandon, Bharti Singh and Myself...we do sincerely apologise.”
A case has been registered after a complaint was filed by Sonu Jafar, President of Christian Front of Ajnala Block. The video was also provided which aired during Christmas eve. The FIR was registered in Amritsar at Ajnala police station under section 295-A of the IPC.
