Filmmaker Kabir Khan, who is currently directing ’83 The Film’ with Ranveer Singh, is all set to foray into digital space. The filmmaker just took to his social media profile and confirmed ‘The Forgotten Army’ for Amazon Prime.
The Forgotten Army stars newbie Sunny Kaushal and Sharvari Wagh in the lead roles. The logo and poster of the same is out.
Director Kabir Khan dropped the logo poster on his social media. He captioned it, “Walking into a new medium with a longstanding dream! Super excited to present my passion project, #TheForgottenArmy on @primevideoin @sunsunnykhez @sharvari”
Actor Sunny Kaushal, who is making his film debut with Bhangra Paa Le, also confirmed the same. He wrote, “Blood, sweat and passion...sab Azaadi ke liye...screen wahi, scale alag! Coming with #TheForgottenArmy only on @primevideoin @kabirkhankk @Sharvari”
The upcoming web series The Forgotten Army - Azaadi Ke Liye, is based on true events. The series will tell the stories of the brave men and women who fought for the independence of India as part of the Indian National Army led by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Kabir Khan’s next '83 will chronicle the historic win of Indian cricket team at the 1983 world cup. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Harrdy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Amrita Puri, Jiiva, Ammy Virk,, Pankaj Tripathi, Sahil Khattar and Chirag Patil.
