What's About - The Body is an adaptation of a Spanish movie of the same name. It's a crime thriller where hotshot Emraan Hashmi, who plays the husband, is under the scanner for the murder of his wife (Shobhita Dhulipala ). The 2012 Spanish mystery thriller 'The Body' is something special, due to which it attracted belong to filmmakers internationally. The film has so far been made in Kannada, Tamil, and Korean, while preparations are also underway to make it in English. But its Hindi remake released by the same name in theaters on Friday does not wake up like magic. Director Jeethu Joseph, who made a great suspense film like 'Drishyam' in the South, was expecting a good crime thriller film from this first Hindi film, but he has missed doing it.

The Body Story - In the film, the dead body of a rich business person Maya Verma (Sobhita Dhulipala) suddenly disappears from the mortuary, which investigates by SP Jayaraj Rawal (Rishi Kapoor). The first evidence points towards Maya's husband Ajay Puri (Emraan Hashmi), who has an extra-marital affair with a student Ritu (Vedika). But during the investigation, some mysterious incidents happen and Ajay feels that Maya is alive and she is trying to trap him. To know what is true, one has to watch the film.

The Body Analysis - The plot of the film is interesting, but the screenplay is very weak. It seems that the director could not understand how he wanted to advance the story. Repeated flashbacks and romantic songs make the entire fun of suspense gritty. Apart from a few scenes, the entire film sets in a laboratory, where doctors appear only once. The production value of the film is also weak, due to which the film feels like a crime tv serial. Not only this, Jeethu Joseph has not been able to get his best work from competent actors. The only plus point of the film is the climax.

Direction - Since 'Drishyam', there has been a lot of expectation from Jeetu Joseph and there was a lot of expectation from this film, but it did not look as amazing in the film. I didn't like any of his films after Drishyam. This one is the worst film and a very bad adaptation in the entire history of Bollywood. Some scenes in the film could be quite loud, but they did not look as effective.

Star Performances - Emraan Hashmi isn't exceptionally amazing and he has conveyed his standard execution, as in his earlier crime thrillers. Sobhita Dhulipala, who plays Emraan's wife, neglects to make an imprint while Vedika who plays his girlfriend has worked admirably. Rishi Kapoor has conveyed a decent presentation as a cop.

Verdict - The Body neglects to make an imprint as a crime thriller. The film is just a little more than one and a half hours, at that point also we may feel bothered. A spectator who is going inside the theater to watch is the real unfortunate casualty.
