Enjoy short films, rather than the usual ones, says Janhvi Kapoor.
Actress Janhvi Kapoor who is all set to make her digital debut with Netflix ‘Ghost stories’, says that she enjoys working in short films more rather than the usual ones. She further added that the films are too lengthy, it takes lots of time to complete and at certain point of time one gets bored.
Janhvi Kapoor was interacting with the media on Tuesday in Mumbai.
Janhvi Kapoor's Netflix series ‘Ghost Stories’ involves supernatural elements. This will be Janhvi’s first stint with the horror genre. The actress is the one who will essay the main protagonist in Zoya’s short. When Zoya and Janhvi met for story narration, the actress was bowled over by the script.
When asked about her take on short series as a future of Bollywood, on this Janhvi said, “Recently I have done one Netflix short series ‘Ghost Stories’ and my experience was great. I enjoy more working in short films, rather than the usual ones, because films are too lengthy, it takes lots of time to complete and at one point of time you get bored.
On the other hand the short films gets concluded fast without any distractions. This boosts you up to work more and more whilst maintaining the energy level. We juggle 2 or more films at a time. Whereas in short series you can supplement your work and do different types of characters."
'Ghost Stories’ is an anthology horror film and would comprise of four short stories, helmed by four directors Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee.
It will feature an ensemble cast of Mrunal Thakur, Avinash Tiwary, Janhvi Kapoor, Raghuvir Yadav, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vijay Varma and Pavail Gulati. It is scheduled to release on Netflix on 1 January 2020.
