Want to prove myself with ‘Dabangg 3’ says Saiee Manjrekar

Actress Saiee Manjrekar, who is making her Hindi film debut with ‘Dabangg 3’, has said that she wants to prove herself as an actor through her performance in her upcoming action-drama film. She also added that learnt a lot from Salman Khan while shooting of the film.

Saiee Manjrekar was interacting with the media to promote ‘Dabangg 3’ on Tuesday in Mumbai.

‘Dabangg 3’ is a prequel of the 2012 film ‘Dabangg 2’ and the third installment of ‘Dabangg’ film series.

Saiee Manjrekar is playing role a girl named Khushi in ‘Dabangg 3’ and she is fist love of Chulbul Pandey which is being played Salman Khan who later becomes fearless cop, sharing her feeling being part of the film, Saiee said, “I am feeling really happy that I got the opportunity to work in this film. I am feeling blessed that I am a part of such a big film franchise and I got the opportunity to work with such a big star (Salman Khan). Now, I just wanted to prove myself through my performance in the film.”

Saiee is the daughter of well-known Hindi and Marathi actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar and her mother Medha Manjrekar is also a Marathi film actress. Mahesh Manjrekar is close friend of Salman Khan and he has been a part of ‘Dabangg’ which released in 2010.

When asked what kind of tips her parents gave her before shooting of the film, Saiee said, “No… My parents didn’t gave me any specific tip but my mother always used to tell me that emote through your eyes and I got to know about meaning while we were shooting for the film. I hope I have done justice to my role. My father and Salman sir has always told me to work hard and it’s the most important thing than anything else.”

‘Dabangg 3’ is directed by Prabhu Deva, and produced by Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan under their respective banners of Salman Khan Films and Arbaaz Khan Productions.

Apart from Salman Khan and Saiee Manjrekar, it also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Kiccha Sudeep, Arbaaz Khan, Mahie Gill, Amol Gupte, Tinnu Anand and Niketan Dheer in important roles.

The film is scheduled to be theatrically released in India on 20 December 2019.
