Chhapaak' will always be the most special film of my career – Deepika Padukone.

Actress Deepika Padukone is all set for her upcoming movie 'Chhapaak', says that, for her 'Chhappak' was emotionally an incredible journey and it will be the most special film of her career.

Deepika Padukone was interacting with media on Tuesday in Mumbai.

'Chhapaak' is a true-life story based on acid attack survival Laxmi Agarwal. A minor then, Laxmi was attacked with acid by three men near Tughlaq road in New Delhi as she had refused to marry Nadeem Khan aka Guddu, of the trio.

While addressing to media Deepika was full in tears. She said, "It's not often when you come across a story that inspires you so much. It's not about the incident, as much as about the triumph over it. I clearly remember that moment when Meghna came to me, she just read one or two pages of the script and I said I am on, we are doing this. We did the narration much later because as an actor I wanted to know my actions. But as a film is this something I wanted to do, I knew it instantly. 'Chhappak' will always be the most special film of my career."

 'Chhappak' is considered to be an unconventional heart touching entertainer of the year 2020, When asked about her  expectations from the movie, on this Deepika said, "Every movie doesn't have to be hard hitting story, it could be simple emotions, like joy or love. As long as the story makes you feel something or evoke this sought of emotions, that's truly the film's meter of success in my opinion. Also the film which has longevity, the film i want to watch 10 years from now, that is a sign of successful movie for me."

'Chhapaak' is an upcoming film starring Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey, directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar in collaboration with Fox Star Studios. It is scheduled for release on 10 January 2020.
