Stunning and talented actress Yami Gautam rocked the silver-screen with her tough avatar in Uri: The Surgical Strike and the recently with Bala, she played this larger than life sweet girl role which struck a chord with the audience and fetched her Best Actor in a Comic role Star Screen Award.
Actress Yami just took to her social media and expressed her excitement over the win and also revealed that not too many though she could pull-off the role. Bala is a social drama helmed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana as Bala, a young man living in Kanpur who is suffering from male pattern baldness, and the story is about his lack of confidence and societal pressure that comes with premature balding. The film also starred Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam as leading ladies.
Next, Yami Gautam is shooting for Ginny Weds Sunny opposite Vikrant Massey. The film is directed by Puneet Khanna, follows headstrong Ginny (played by Gautam), who meets Sunny (played by Massey) for an arranged marriage, but turns him down. Sunny then teams up with her mother to win her love.
