Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar has said that the police opened fire in self-defence after the accused tried to forcibly take away their guns and attack them with stones.
Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has deputed a fact-finding team to Hyderabad to probe the killings.
