Bollywood bigwig Ranveer Singh wins big at Star Screen Awards 2019, he actor took home not just one but two awards in Best Actor and Entertainer of The Year Category.
The heart-warming saga about a street rapper in Mumbai, Gully Boy, has been hitting the award circuit in a big way. And now Star Screen Award has honored superstar Ranveer Singh for his most authentic role ever.
Actor Ranveer Singh took to his social media and shared a picture with his awards; he captioned it, “Gosh! Double Whammy! ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ for #GullyBoy & ‘Entertainer of the Year’ at the #StarScreenAwards”
Gully Boy also starred Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vijay Raaz in supporting roles. Inspired by the lives of Indian street rappers Divine and Naezy, the film is a coming-of-age story about an aspiring street rapper from the Dharavi slums of Mumbai.
Ranveer Sing is currently busy with 83-The Film and Jayeshbhai Jordaar, both slated for 2020 release.
'83 is a sports drama film, directed by Kabir Khan, also stars Deepika Padukone, Harrdy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Amrita Puri, Jiiva, Ammy Virk,, Pankaj Tripathi, Sahil Khattar and Chirag Patil, reprising the India national cricket team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
Jayeshbhai Jordaar is written-directed by Divyang Thakkar and produced by Maneesh Sharma. Starring Ranveer Singh as a Gujarati man, who is an ordinary man, but ends up doing something extraordinary when he’s hurled into a threatening situation.
