After portraying an impressive role of Indian sharp shooter in Saand Ki Aankh, actress Taapsee Pannu is all set to make her presence felt on cricket field. She just confirmed a film based on Indian female cricketer Mithali Raj.
On the birthday of Mithali Raj, actress Taapsee Pannu not only wished her or celebrated her special day, she also confirmed her next film titled Shabaash Mithu.
Taapsee Pannu just took to her social media and shared some candid pictures from Mithali Raj’s birthday celebration. She wrote “Happy Birthday Captain @M_Raj03 On this Birthday, I don’t know what gift I can give you but this promise that I shall give it all I have to make sure you will be proud of what you see of yourself on screen with #ShabaashMithu. P.S- I’m all prepared to learn THE ‘cover drive’”
Taapsee Pannu announced her first biopic ever on the birthday of Indian cricketer and former captain of Women's National Cricket Team Mithali Raj. The actress will be portraying Mithali on the big screen.
Mithali is the highest run-scorer in women's international cricket history and the only woman cricketer to surpass the 6,000 run mark in ODIs.
It is also reported that Taapsee Pannu will essay a double role in Bhansali Productions’ Sia Jia. The film, co-produced by Shabinaa Khan, will go on floors next year.
Taapsee Pannu had four releases in 2019: Badla, Game Over, Mission Mangal and Saand Ki Aankh. Her upcoming films are Thappad and Rashmi Rocket.
