And it is official - Akshay Kumar along with Bhushan Kumar is all set to bankroll Durgavati, a scary thriller starring Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role.
Superstar Akshay Kumar, who has worked with Bhumi Pednekar in Toilet Ek Prem Katha, just took to his social media profile and confirmed the film. He tweeted, “EXCITED to announce @bhumipednekar in & as #DURGAVATI. A scary-thriller, going on floor mid-January. Presented by #CapeOfGoodFilms and @itsBhushanKumar, produced by @vikramix and directed by Ashok. Need your love and luck @TSeries @Abundantia_Ent”
Bhumi Pednekar in and as Durgvati, which goes on floors next year, will be helmed by Ashok and bankrolled by Cape Of Good Films and T-Series.
Actress Bhumi Pednekar also confirmed the film and wrote, “I have waited so long to share this one with you. So excited to announce my next film #DURGAVATI. Meanwhile on the work front, Akshay Kumar is busy with Sooryavanshi, which also stars Katrina Kaif in the lead role. The film is helmed by Rohit Shetty.
Bhumi Pednekar will be seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh, which is an official remake of old classic of the same name. The movie also stars Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday in the lead role.
