It was very Important to bring 'Panipat' on screen, says Ashutosh Gowarikar.

Actor Director Ashutosh  Gowariker who is renowned for making historic films, has said that, It was very important to bring 'Panipat' on screen. Ashutosh added that as a director you have to be very directive and must know what is the beginning and end of the story.

Ashutosh Gowariker was interacting with media at the music launch of his upcoming movie ' Panipat' on Saturday in Mumbai.

Speaking about his movie 'Panipat' he commented, "We all know that we lost the battle of Panipat, but we never thought why we lost the battle. After doing lots of research, I realized that this is the only battle in the whole world in which the troops of army walked for 1000 km, just to stop their rivalries. I wanted to show all this in my movie so, I selected this theme."

Controversies on Ashutosh' movie ' Panipat' have started taking rounds. Some community people is taking a stand against the film, according to them the facts in the movie are being modified. When asked on this Ashutosh said, "When you depict history cinematically you have to face many questions. Some people had the doubts whether their family has been shown or not in the movie. We have cleared their doubts and now there are no issues."

'Panipat' is not only under  the wraps of controversies but is also being compared with the movie 'Bajirao Mastani'. Addressing to media on this Ashutosh said, "I am always been compared for my movies. Comparison is a good thing. I am happy that my films are being compared with good movies."

'Panipat' is an upcoming 2019 Indian historical war film directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. It stars Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Kriti Sanon and is scheduled to release on 6 December 2019.
