Actress Kriti Kharbanda said that due to date issues she opted out of Chehre, which also stars Emraan Hashmi and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles.
Kriti Kharbanda was interacting with media on the sidelines of Pagalpanti special screening for NGO kids in Mumbai.
Talking about the screening the films for kids, Kriti said, “We’ve been thinking about organize this screening for the longest because the film is for kids and the child in you. The child in you, who doesn’t want to grow-up, the film is made in such a manner that it’s must be seen only for entertainment. There is no other intention of the film except entertainment”.
Kriti also added that her next outing Taish, which is directed by Bejoy Nambiar and also stars Harshvardhan Rane and Pulkit Samrat is different than comic caper Pagalpanti.
She said, “Taish is completely opposite Pagalpanti. And in that film we (Kriti and Pulkit) are paired opposite each other. We just happened to be part of the cast”.
News was viral that Kriti has opted out of Emraan Hashmi and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Chehre and now she shares her reasons for quitting the film.
When asked about dropping out of Chehre, actress Kriti said, “Unfortunately we’ve mutually decided that we will not do the movie. The film was supposed to start shooting September and then it got pushed to November, and I already had commitments with Housefull 4 and Pagalpanti. So unfortunately there was nothing I could do to change my dates”
Talking about Pagalpanti and its response, Kriti added, “Response has been great. Everyone who has watched the film has only good things to say, so I am really happy. People are appreciating everyone in the film. So I am quite impressed with myself right now”.
Anees Bazmee directorial Pagalpanti, also stars Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Ileana D'Cruz, Arshad Warsi, Urvashi Rautela, and Saurabh Shukla in the lead roles. The film opened in theaters with mixed reviews.
