Mumbai, Nov 14 (SocialNews.XYZ) Sensex and Nifty on Thursday opened marginally higher.
The BSE Sensex opened at 40,178.93 from its previous close of 40,116.06.
At 9.57 a.m., the Sensex was down 55.57 points at 40,060.49 while the Nifty slipped by 20.75 points at 11,819.70.
India's retail inflation rose to the highest in 16 months, as food prices spiked due to unseasonal rains which disrupted supplies of vegetables.
