Maddock Films head honcho Dinesh Vijan has once again delivered a massive hit, Bala, says he is happy for the love the film got more than the business.
Producer Dinesh Vijan was interacting with the media after success of ‘Bala’ along with film’s director Amar Kaushik. After Stree, the film Bala marks the second hit outing of Dinesh and Amar.
Talking about the film and success, Dinesh Vijan said, “I think box-office success is interesting but the kind of love this film is getting is really special. People are connecting with the story and message of the film. We are trying to put together the messages which we are getting from audience after watching the film and we will release it after one or two months because the kind of response we are getting is really commendable”
In five days, ‘Bala’ has raked in a score of Rs. 61 crore and is looking forward to touch Rs. 75 crore by the end of this week.
When asked about working with Amar Kaushik for the second time, Dinesh said, “I also feel lucky that none of my directors have demanded unjustified things from me. We give equal importance to production and direction of the film. He (Amar Kaushik) might not remember me and I might not remember him but the films which we are making will stay forever in memory of people and that’s very important so, that’s how we trying to make good films.”
‘Bala’ revolves around a man living in Kanpur who is suffering from premature baldness, and the story is about his lack of confidence and societal pressure that comes with balding.
The film features Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam in the lead roles.
