Actor Vikrant Massey, who next will be seen onscreen in a film titled ‘Chhapaak’, has said that Deepika Padukone is one of the finest co-actors he has worked with in his film career.
Vikrant Massey was interacting with the media at the second edition of MTV IWM Digital Awards 2019 on Wednesday in Mumbai.
Vikrant Massey is collaborating with Deepika Padukone for the first time in Meghna Gulzar directorial ‘Chhapaak’, sharing his experience working with Deepika, Vikrant said, “It was great working with her. I have always said this that she is one of the finest co-actors I have worked with in my career.”
The film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Deepika Padukone is playing her role in the film and Vikrant is playing her boyfriend in it.
Sharing his experience working in ‘Chhapaak’, Vikrant said, “I really had nice experience working on the film. We have completed shooting of the film. It is getting a release in two month so I am just keeping my fingers crossed. Simultaneously, I am shooting for something so, as we get closer to the shoot, I will have to divert myself for the promotion of ‘Chhapaak’ as well.”
Talking about growing popularity of digital platforms, Vikrant said, “I would like to congratulate organizers of IWM Awards. I see digital platforms as a boon because people are getting a lot of opportunities to work over here. It’s a platform where you can express yourself. It reaches out to the world without any edits, without any censorship so, I think it’s a great place where everyone gets the opportunity to showcase what they have in them.”
‘Chhapaak’ is directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar in collaboration with Fox Star Studios. It is scheduled for release on January 10, 2020.
