Mega family daughter-in-law Upasana Konidela is very upset with the stepchild like treatment the south film industry got at the "ChangeWithin" Campaign. The campaign is launched by was launched by Hon Prime Minister Modi with a 150-second ad film made by Rajkumar Hirani and attended by bollywood bigwigs.
The event had zero representation from south film industries (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam). This created a big furor on social media among the south film industry fans. But no one from the south film industry is gutsy enough to question this disrespect.
Upasana Konidela has taken this on herself and expressed her pain for limiting the event to Hindi Artists and completely ignoring the South Film Industry. She tweeted this directly to PM Modi and hoped it's taken in the right spirit.
She tweeted:
Dearest @narendramodi ji. We in the South of INDIA admire you & are Proud to have you as our Prime Minister. With all due respect, we felt that the representation of Leading personalities & cultural icons was limited only to Hindi Artists and the South Film Industry was completely neglected. I express my feelings with pain & hope it's taken in the right spirit.
She is getting kudos from south film fans for her gutsy response. A lot of people are admiring her audacity to take on PM Modi and Bollywood directly.
