Prof K Nageshwar: What KCR wishes to do with RTC [HD] (Video)

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be holding a high-level meeting with senior officials to decide the fate of TSRTC. The meeting will also have the state government form an alternative transport policy. An alternate transport policy might also be decided due to the ongoing strike which is causing a great inconvenience to the commuters.

Meanwhile, in the view of the ongoing strike, the state government had warned the RTC employees on strike that their employment will be terminated in case they don't turn up to work on Saturday.

According to the RTC management, 40,000 out of 52,000 workers are participating in the strike. Transport minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar said the government has decided to evolve a permanent alternative transport policy to see that the people are not put to problems again.

To bring temporary relief from the current crisis, the government is planning to take the help of private bus operators. Additionally, young men and women, who hold valid driving licenses might be called out to operate the busses. The government is also examining granting route permits to about 6,000 to 7,000 private buses.
