Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has been arrested by the police on Sunday morning on the grounds of threatening MPDO of Venkatachalam on Friday midnight.
He, along with his followers, threatened the MPDO Sarala for not providing water connection to a layout located in Golagamudi village. Legislator warned her at her home in Kallurupalli in the city limits isolating from basic amenities like water, power and others, according to the complaint. Police booked case on Saturday and they arrested him on Sunday.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also considered the issue as a serious one and reportedly instructed the police to act according to the facts. A team of police was also deputed from Guntur to arrest the legislator, according to sources.
